The death of Anthony Bourdain is terribly sad. Many will remember him for his courage to go to Gaza and the West Bank in 2013 and show Palestinians as human. He wrote: “I'm particularly proud of this one -- as it's sure to piss off just about everybody.”

What a shame to live in a world without Anthony Bourdain, but with a man he loathed...

Absolutely horrific story of the Mizra Gul family ravaged by the lasting impact of our senseless violence in Afghanistan - 4 dead, 7 with amputated legs, all children.

Nearly 45,000 people kill themselves every year. The highest demographic is middle-aged people. Kate Spade is another reminder that we need everyone to know that there is help. I've been there myself; no one should feel like there's no hope. Suicide hotline 24/7: 1-800-273-8255

I haven’t stopped thinking about this the last few days. I think I ran out of words a long time ago. This is moments before Razan Al Najjar, a 21-year-old volunteer paramedic, was shot and killed by an Israeli sniper in Gaza. Arms up as they moved in to treat injured protesters.

Seriously, I can't stop thinking about this. What was behind the decision at the to put the Roseanne story on page A1 and the 5000 dead Puerto Ricans on page A13?

While we are delighted for Mamoudou & amazed by this incredible story, it shouldn't take being a hero, to be treated as a human. Not everyone can climb buildings & save children, but 1000s of people in Calais, Paris & France need to be treated with much greater humanity & respect

When I was a child growing up in Ireland, it was illegal to buy a condom, get a divorce or have sex with someone of the same gender. I look at this new Ireland and I wonder how a country can reinvent itself so radically, and so much for the benefit of people’s freedom.

This protest was happening while I was in my Greek lesson. My sympathetic tutor said, "People are always shouting in Greece, but no one is listening to them."
