I paid for a designer for http://diesel.rs and I'm not ashamed of it. Having a streamlined onboarding experience for new users is crucial. Cinsicely telling them why your shit is worth using is a big part of that.

It’s important to show that a project will have real tome and resources invested into it for the indefinite feature. Like it or not, a well-developed and unique aesthetic is a very good way to demonstrate that.
