When writing YAML, you may know that the `---` is used to separate documents. If that's the case, why do I see so many examples with a `---` at the top of the file? Is this a huge cargo cult or something else I'm missing?

yaml_lint encourages its use and I don’t question the linter.

I guess it’s nice so you can concat yaml files without parsing them.
