I know, but where do you draw the line, is that one messed up character that will not render in `git log` worth it? I recently switched to writing longer commit messages in an empty Git(Hub|Lab) issue instead of my editor making obeying my OCD easier
I'm assuming you mean "one character that changes the markdown rendering"? I'd probably still force push in that case, just in case Git(Hub|Lab) decided to markdown render commit messages at some point in the future

That would be an awesome feature, right now it sometimes feels like a plain text commit message + formatted PR description are easier to read. Also my attempted sarcasm did not come through :)
