My least favorite trend on Rust RFCs are people who make arguments assuming that Rust will eventually become Haskell. Arguments like "what about HKT" or "consider monoids, semigroups, etc" or "this might confuse haskell programmers" are just so out of place.

I’m just asking because I think telling people not to do something without an alternative doesn’t work. You may not see value in it, but Haskell isn’t a newbie Lang, these people are smart & qualified and they see value in it. So maybe there should be a place to discuss.
