My least favorite trend on Rust RFCs are people who make arguments assuming that Rust will eventually become Haskell. Arguments like "what about HKT" or "consider monoids, semigroups, etc" or "this might confuse haskell programmers" are just so out of place.

For reference, my opinions on those are roughly: HKT: I think it'll turn out that GAT is enough and we should see if that's the case monad, monoid, semigroup, etc: You are terrible at naming things. Useful concepts are terrible if they scare off programmers
