I love nursery rhymes but he's right, some of them are awful.
Maybe other people are more comfortable with songs that include "she cut off their tails with a carving knife" than I am

Hah! The horrible low budget YouTube animated version I saw recently holds closer to the earlier versions than I thought. It had the part about using some medicine to grow their tails back.
