On average it's 2x higher, and you can do better by charging off peak.
The gas price vs electricity also is only a portion of the price comparison. Maintenance is a big one.

Did Tesla allow you to pre-pay for a replacement battery at a lower cost? Years ago they used to offer S batteries for 10-12K depending on size.
