It’s like any insurance calculation, I guess. Likelihood of incident, hours of use all factor in. Considering that I don’t exactly know I’ll use this a lot, the cost is a major factor. One *can* use a standard table saw and keep all digits. That insurance would be nice though.
Eh. I cut the tip of my thumb off at camp as a kit. A saw that can't do that seems like a worthwhile investment no matter how little you use it to me.
