I just realized my 2 year old Mac is running an EOL version of the OS (10.10 Mavericks). Is it just me, or is that an absurdly short support window for a mainstream OS? For comparison, Windows Vista had its support end at the same time.
Before anyone asks, I haven't upgraded because it upgrading always fucks with permissions in /usr/local, lowers my battery life, and there are literally 0 features in later versions I care about (except updated unicode support I guess). No reason to spend a day on it.
