It's the only way to do true type safe booleans.

I don't know about you, but I have `enum bool { true, false } use self::bool::*;` in all my projects.

Yes. I was mostly making fun of code that uses `()` as an error type, but this type is basically just a boolean with meaning that composes with `?`
