Conference-goers and organizers, I'd like to recruit you for brainstorming. As a speaker, I want to find ways to be MORE of a resource to attendees. To turn up approachability and value beyond just being present in the hall. Any and all ideas welcome. RTs welcome.
Going against the grain here: You already do more than enough. You are probably one of the most accessible/approachable people at conferences. I don't think there's much more that one person can do. If there is something to be done, it's more systematic.

I disagree. Avdi & I chatted recently abt how the 1st time we interacted at a conf was 3 yrs into speaking at a bunch of same ones. Not easy for spkrs to know who is longing to approach; & the
impact of even more signals that help overcome introversion, shyness, & hero worship -
... because it seems like the right thing to do, but also because I've Been There.
