Type systems for the win!
Literally every time I port code I wrote in another language to Rust, the Rust code exposes bugs without even shipping it.

There's something more specific than "type systems" here. I've not found the same to be true w/ Haskell or Scala

Agree with sentiment, but has to be normalized by "every time I rewrite code, I expose bugs without even shipping it".

This has been my experience with a python library. I wrote it, I used it for years, and now I'm finding all kinds of weird edge cases.
