My bucket list: - singular table names - <table>_id instead of id for pks - uuids for pks/fks - pks are generated by the client, not the db
No reason that the third wouldn't work either. Just put the field on your struct, Diesel will use it for inserts.

Thanks a lot! I was reading http://diesel.rs/guides/all-about-updates/ … which seemed to imply the `id` field was important.

Diesel has conventions which it will use by default. `id` is one of them. Everything configurable though.
