Inevitably they have the same solution the last person tried, with the same reasons it doesn't work. Funny to see happen every few years.
Occasionally on rails/rails we'll have someone who sorts issues by created_at ascending and tries to fix them in order.

Props on fixing bugs that old though. The longer a ticket is open, the less likely it is to ever get resolved
