I think his point is that non-OSS (or OSS w/ more paid full-timers) can do more of this. And I agree.
Yeah I think if more companies gave 20% time to OSS we'd see more people trying to solve the underlying problems and not bandaids

(Preferably companies give the flexibility to do 1 week a month instead of 1 day a week for folks who want that structure)
