So I've been trying out using a cane lately (building I work in will not let me use my scooter). I've got some complex feelings about it

It's been legitimately helping. I'm walking more than I would otherwise. My pain level is a bit lower. But I shouldn't need to do it
The fact that my building can have any say in my choice of mobility device should be illegal, and Canada should be ashamed for the situation

That said, I'm debating if I want to keep using a cane in situations where my scooter. I feel geriatric as all hell using it.

I've never been fond of the "handicapped" label (hence why I use a scooter and not a wheelchair). A cane makes me feel handicapped.

Heh it's really my own fault. "Canada is going to be more progressive" was my thought. I should have looked at it deeper before moving
