      Very interesting. The cache store gives me the redis config, but Rails.cache.class gives me FileStore.

      And, of course, I may even just be reading this wrong. But, I'd expect Rails.cache.class to not be FileStore. That's confusing.

      Is it no longer okay to do it in an initializer? Reading in places (old) that those run after cache initialization.

      Which repo? It turns out that I can't set Rails.configuration.cache_store in an initializer.

          I could just be wrong and it's intentional, but I think that something working in config but not in an initializer breaks user expectations
