The search bug in iOS is making it virtually unusable unless you know exactly where all your apps are located on each screen.

I see the use but I still think most people would prefer custom organization. I don't want a list on my home. Simply things I want most.
Right, that's what Android does. Lets you customize however many screens you want for what you care about, everything else in a list
