@sgrif why doesn't Rails set a statement timeout by default? too app-specific?

they can generally be a lot lower than app timeouts. and statements can hold locks.

just change database.yml defaults? looks like jose added one to the sqlite3 adapter generator 8 years ago but none of the others have it
