Just because something is obvious to you doesn't mean that it's obvious to everyone. This is very dismissive of the learning process

I agree with this statement, but I don't think it applies to the trend I originally highlighted.

That is, I don't think taking the most straightforward path available to you once you know your system through is especially admirable.
