Just had to debug a regex where a question mark and a dollar sign were in the wrong order. Which is correct? (poll)

knowing regex, perhaps that is how you detect a number.
CVE-2014-3482 and CVE-2014-3483 were both caused by someone using ^ and $ when they meant \a and \Z
