No difference for the end user. (This is assuming the uniqueness validation is actionable by the user, which is rare)
Either way though, the current design is very much the product of "let's not break everyone's apps"

We'll likely see a shift when we settle on a reasonable design for form objects. Unlikely to lead to deprecating AM::V tho
