Does your app really need soft deletes? The user wanted the information gone and you’ve kept it around. To what end?

actual legal constraints are more rare than self-imposed in my experience. I’ve built soft delete dozens of times. Undo rarely.

Agreed that actual legal constraints are rare. I think many recall that one time it turned out to be needed and learned too late
