Sounds like a bug/oversight to me.
That or a gem interfering. I'm fairly certain it uses `params.permit`. Definitely a bug if not

that seems like it may be more of a misuse of the scaffold generator. Would you agree?

Ah yeah, I don't think that's a good use of the scaffold generator. Probably using fetch so it doesn't explode.

So in testing with a new Vanilla rails app it only happens when you use the rails scaffold but don’t specify attributes.
