If you rely on the individual pieces and not the meta gem then you can be more granular

We had mandrill_mailer runtime dependent on activejob (no version specified) and Bundler got angry because Rails wanted =5.0.0

You can be more granular that way. No part of Rails should depend on AJ directly IIRC

Oddly that seems to have gone away. Could be a Bundler resolver bug.
