PSA: If you rely on pull request discussion as your source of context on commits, you're banking on Github being around forever.
It's interesting to me how newer developers (or even those around before Github) can't imagine needing to migrate a project

You should probably be squashing and rebasing before merging anyway. Mention relevant discussion points in the commit message.
