I think I figured out what bugs me so badly about this "github issues are terrible" thing It's couched in deep contempt for users

@sgrif this specific instance is that new lints need an RFC so old issues that were requests for new lints were invalid
@steveklabnik Isn't that the same problem though? The issues aren't gone, they've effectively just been closed as wontfix

@sgrif yes but i don't think that the users are bad for filing them or that github's system was poor for the triage. -
