@sgrif@kylefiedler@andrewcohen only thing i can think of is for clarity. sure .button is fine but can .primary be reused effectively? -
@jacobbednarz@kylefiedler@andrewcohen It doesn't do anything without .button on it. Classes mean nothing, selectors do.

@sgrif@kylefiedler@andrewcohen or even .primary on a button element? I can’t keep up with what I should be doing these days. -
@derekprior@sgrif@kylefiedler@andrewcohen I think trello uses this approach and wrote a bit about it here - http://blog.trello.com/refining-the-way-we-structure-our-css-at-trello/ … - 1 more reply

@sgrif@andrewcohen Probably for specificity. .'primary' could be for '.title' or '.content' or '.button'. Naming is hard. CSS is hard. -
@kylefiedler couldn't the rule just be ".button.primary"? - 1 more reply

@sgrif For some reason in the last few years it became unfashionable, but I used to do it that way all the time. It works fine. -
@joshuaogle@sgrif now it's .button.button-__primary-- :trollface:
