      @sgrif @christoomey I was prepared to blame lazy browser vendors but PUT, DELETE and PATCH are not valid HTML5.

      @joannecheng @sgrif @christoomey Also only GET is valid from a link, which is how I typically want to use DELETE. JS fills are fine for now.

      @derekprior Its not just a JS fill, though. You can't even send a real DELETE request from JS

      @sgrif amended: JS fill with conventional backend support. Most browsers do support those verbs via AJAX though, no?

          @sgrif that’s in rails’ support in non-Ajax requests. Using, for instance, $.ajax, you can use DELETE and PUT. http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.ajax/
