That's fair. I think the interesting implication of this (assuming you answered "yes" for the switch) is that Breath of the Wild goes along side Pokemon and New Super Mario Bros as best selling handheld games, but Angry Birds does not
Although I guess with your definition you could argue that a "handheld game" is not defined as "a game made for a handheld console"

Indeed. A phone is handheld, and had games, but is not a console. A Lynx is handheld, and is a console.

I'm surprised I'd never heard of the Lynx before. I didn't realize Atari ever tried to enter the handheld space. The Game Gear was the only other handheld I saw at the time (but only the rich kids had it)
