      I am also frustrated by how awkward refactoring C programs is. But there's literally no one to blame on that one but me (for deciding to refactor a large C codebase that was doing just fine on its own).

      And then eventually I just started not writing with C++ exceptions instead of writing them in and then having to tear them out later
