For some reason this pic made me realize that I mostly associate the G3 with being really mad at my dad for moving our computer to OSX without telling me. It's been so long I don't even remember why I was so strongly attached to OS 9

Because it probably *felt* faster (regardless of whether is actually was) and macOS 7-9 is/was the best interface. Crossing my fingers that macOS 11.1 will have support for themes, so I can get my beloved classic macOS interface back. Or maybe a “one more thing” when 11.0 ships.

It'll absolutely never happen, but I'd engage in ritual sacrifice if it meant I could style macOS to look like System 7 or Platinum.
