      Ah, I had a Vive (gave it to a friend recently), but had decided to wait for the Index before playing Alyx (or continueing with Fallout 4 VR too).

      I previously had a vive, so for just the headset the index isn't that bad price wise. It was worth the $500 for the massive upgrade over the vive

          Can't blame you. I ordered the controller a few days ago, so it'll just be the vive base stations (I can't see any reason to upgrade those)

          Granted, given most devs treat vr as an excuse to completely ignore accessibility and therefore I can't play most games, I've spent an unreasonable amount on hardware.
