I mean sure but given stocks are sales on future profits no one would buy it right now.
Possibly dumb question... Airlines have spent a shit ton of money on stock buybacks, can't they just re-issue those shares and get some free cash flow? (Obvs hugely diluted)

I think they should be forced to sell as much stock as they need to to keep afloat. Will it tank their share even more? Sure. I'm trying to decide if I care.

Yeah, I'm with you. They're the ones who chose to spend all their cash on stock buybacks. If individuals are expected to keep months of income liquid so should businesses

This makes complete sense. Sell stock, make money. Don’t feel sorry for investors, it is a risk and one the companies were making look better than it was.
