It's less ridiculous than the bering strait bridge which has been getting proposed every few years for like a century
OMG given that I never fly if I can avoid it now, I just realized what would happen if I needed to go to London and a bering strait bridge existed

I drive an electric car, so it depends on how the electricity was generated at the places I charge. If it was all renewables, yes. If it was all coal, probably not. For the majority of that drive through Russia, probably higher carbon emissions than flying
