You can run an XServer just grab mobaxterm it is pretty perfect. Also recommend wsltty for shell it works well. I still recommend just using Linux straight if Linux is your thing, but this should not block you.

Yeah I have pbcopy aliased to clip.exe. Doesn't help with vim which reads from x though
