It's really weird getting used to minor differences. The trackpad on this only clicks from the bottom for example (granted I only learned to click the top with my index finger when the 2015 MBP was worse at letting me rest my thumb, it always thought I was doing some gesture)
Another immediately weird thing is that it's a 1080p screen, so it's lower resolution than the MBP, but because every pixel is an actual pixel and not 1/4 of one, apps think it's higher resolution. Which means Twitter is thinner.
Its a bit thicker than the 2015 mbp, but honestly given this has an RTX 2060 I'm surprised it's as thin as it ispic.twitter.com/eUwvyvt0Ly
fn and control being switched is going to take forever to get used to. And of course it's the only key that I can't remap
I just realized this has a slot for another hard drive if I want one. Wait. WAIT. I CAN ADD MORE RAM TO THIS MACHINE.
Oh no this laptop doesn't have a home/end button, and pressing the buttons which emulate this on a mac go forward/back a page in chrome
trackpads are the one thing I've never found anything comparing to the mac solution—how does it feel, relative?
This is definitely the best trackpad I've used on a non-mac, hands down. Other than it being a hinge at the top instead of a button (literally the 2013 MBP if you had one then), it feels exactly like the one on my mac.
