      My situation's slightly complicated since I am looking to be able to consistently focus on my open source work as much as possible, so any job is at most a means to that end. My last full time gig was ~550k salary + equity

      Was that 550k salary combined with equity or just the salary alone and you had equity on top of that?

      Sorry, I can see now how the way I phrased it was unclear. In my head N salary + equity was assumed as N (salary + equity) not (N salary) + equity

      If I could remember the actual numbers I would have said them, I legitimately don't I just know the combined because someone made me dig out a W2 from back then this week. It was for sure more equity than salary.
