My situation's slightly complicated since I am looking to be able to consistently focus on my open source work as much as possible, so any job is at most a means to that end. My last full time gig was ~550k salary + equity

That sounds like a pretty great deal, honestly. Wish we'd get universal healthcare in the US so flexible working arrangements were more feasible.

Yeah, my health insurance comes from my partner, and I'm extremely lucky to be in that position. Really this whole attempt at focusing on open source is only possible because I'm coming from a position of extreme privilege, which I'm acutely aware of.
