Folks who are claiming "The discussion on Reddit about Actix" was fine should consider what it feels like to have 3 separate front page posts all saying you're doing it wrong, each with hundreds of comments discussing the nuances of how wrong you are. Empathy helps, people.

Also Reddit is only one slice of the emotional load that comes with supporting an OSS library/app. Doing it wrong posts, rejecting PRs, Entitlement, misinformation...Maintainers always put on a smile to help nurture their projects but it is not always smile-town.
Absolutely. This is very specifically directed to some specific comments about a specific event where Reddit played a major role and is denying it. Ideally most maintainers don't have to give Reddit a second thought even

Oh yeah I was just expounding on why more empathy should be given. Reddit was the cause of this last burnout but it is just the vector du jour.
