like, i think a little dependencies is better than a little copying, but I also prefer static linking to dynamic is that incoherent? In one sense, it kinda is.

but that's because dynamic linking in its current state is explicitly designed for the C world (and how C views dependencies) and it's kinda bad for anything else

basically there's a difference between "I dislike the general idea of dynamic linking" and "I dislike dynamic linking as it exists today". Holding the latter opinion is perfectly coherent with liking dependencies.

In fact, I'd say it's *more* incoherent to like dynamic linking as it exists today and like dependencies because dynamic linking as it exists today is not designed for large dependency graphs.

What about disliking the general idea of dynamic linking and also disliking the general idea of static linking? Why does everybody keep trying to link my object files? Just let them live in peace.
