I am not saying otherwise. I'm saying as long as you trust the tool to be idempotent, you can run it locally in it's prompt mode for an easier way to review (scrolling through diffs sucks)

For rustfmt you can at least verify nothing nefarious is happening, and then you mostly need to check for accidental rustfmt bugs, which are a bit easier to scroll for
