For you tuple example, couldn't you just swap the order of the columns? Let's say you have this ordering, but you want to reverse the order of column 2: `(a1, a2, a3) < (b1, b2, b3)` You would do: `(a1, b2, a3) < (b1, a2, b3)`

Another added benefit is that you don't have to invalidate http cache of *all* pages whenever you push one element and offset everything by one. All previously generated pages remain valid.
