I'm realizing more and more that Reddit as a whole is just a toxic place, which makes me wonder... How the fuck is r/daddit so wholesome

I’ve read in a few places that communities above a certain size tend to devolve. Maybe reddit can function like a company that does stock splits: every time a subreddit grows to sufficient size it gets split in half. And do it for the main site as well.

It's especially weird here though since online parenting communities are generally really toxic. You wouldn't expect the Reddit one to be good
