The thing that blows my mind about editors is this: - 2006 (or earlier; this is when I started vim) until now: common languages are automatically highlighted and indented mostly correctly. - 2019: There is no way to get vim to correctly indent common TypeScript code in realtime.

Like, it's one thing to pine for some complicated editor feature that no one has ever built. But this has *always* worked out of the box. And now it not only doesn't work out of the box; it doesn't seem to be possible at all. And no one seems worried?

I complain about this every few months and get tons of suggestions. I've probably gotten 30ish suggestions in the last two hours. I've tried them all. None of them seem to work. No one has ever showed me an example of realtime TypeScript indentation actually working.
