I wish the language of static type systems hadn't been repurposed to also speak about runtime schematic checking
I'm confused by what you're getting at here. Having types to represent invariants that are verified on construction/mutation seems like a good thing? (e.g. String in Rust meaning valid UTF-8, NonNull<T> meaning... non-null, etc)

I don't thing it's that, or not entirely. I believe it's more pattern matching for runtime decisions and whatever introspection features enable.

For your point on value properties: you only need to check these prop at the border of the system (deserialization, network, user inputs...). Ounce you're in the system, the compiler makes sur they hold
