Sweet! Any plans for making http://crates.io more discoverable in the future?

Am curious— Please elaborate. What are you looking for here? I rarely see an OSS suggestion / request where I think “hey, contributing to that would be right up my alley”. :p.

Well, not sure exactly how to best do that. First of all, I think the search is not very good. It provides a ton of pretty irrelevant results. Next, I sometimes ask myself the question: which great crates do I not know about? And then I set out to find good crates but it's hard.

Perhaps taking GitHub stars, recent activity and some more factors into account would greatly help you discover well made crates.

Not all crates are on GitHub, and I don't think coupling to GitHub more than we already are would sit well with a lot of the community
