So my fellow Sekiro players...roll call and status? I am alternating between dying against Genichiro, dying against Lady Butterfly, or dying against that big dude in full plate armor. Beaten all mini-bosses to this point. No idea how far through the game I am.

Tips for Genichiro: Learn his patterns, make sure you're deflecting when you can, follow up with a strike after. Blocking works best for arrows (except the slow powerful one) -- Especially when he does jump and rapid fire arrows, if you try to dodge you're dead.
Tips for Butterfly: Learn her patterns. Deflect everything. If she stands there blocking strike once to bait an attack. Shuriken when she jumps, if you have upgraded always hold R2 otherwise pause a beat before throwing. If you're out of snap seeds focus on illusions when up

Apparently you can also do physical damage to her with confetti, which sounds like the easiest way to win (she's not very strong once you can hit her).

You can do plenty of damage without confetti. Best to save for headless and the staff dude in abandoned dungeon right before the depths whose name I forget -- Both of them take next to zero damage w/o confetti
