So in Rust 2018 you can write `use diesel::infix_operator; infix_operator!()` but you can't write `use diesel; diesel::infix_operator!()`? Am I missing something here?

Ah shit you're right, `-Zexternal-macro-backtrace` showed the problem. It's missing `$crate::` in the recursive macro calls
